During this special legislative session we are discussing changing the state legislative district boudnaries to reflect the results of the 2020 census. I want to present an update on the draft maps.
District 105, the district I have had the pleasure of serving since 2018, has grown tremendously. The district has had an increased population of over 10,000 people since 2010 (the last census). Currently, I am serving over 68, 000 people based on the 2020 Census. Once the redistricting process is over each Georgia House District will see an increase in population from approximately 54,500 to 59, 600.
